Software for the events industry

I ran events for twenty years.
Now I build the systems that run them.

Accommodation bookings, ticket sales, quoting, payments and event-day operations — built by an event director whose own systems now take multiple millions a year. For event businesses, and the agencies that serve them.

What I build

The systems an events business runs on.

01

Booking & registration

Group bookings, allocations, accommodation — platforms that handle the messy reality of real events, not the template version of them.

02

Quoting engines

Multi-leg, multi-currency, per-person pricing — quotes that stay right from first enquiry to final balance.

03

Payments & reconciliation

Deposits, instalments, refund trails, Stripe and Direct Debit rails — the code where mistakes cost real money.

04

Live event operations

Race-day dashboards, check-in, on-the-ground tooling — software that holds up at 6am on event day.

05

Event sites & mobile apps

The public faces customers actually use — event websites and App Store apps from one accountable pair of hands.

06

AI where it earns its place

Assistants and automation with human gates on anything irreversible — operations help, not a slide deck.

Why bespoke

Too complex for the templates. Too real for a demo.

Most events businesses live in the missing middle — too sophisticated for ticket-page tools, nowhere near an enterprise contract. Group travel, accommodation, multi-leg pricing and event-day operations never fit the template. That’s exactly the software I couldn’t buy — so I built it, and it now runs businesses like yours.

The toolkit

Your stack, covered.

Everything below is in production in the case studies — running real bookings, real payments, real event days.

Meet Alex

Twenty years on the other side.

Alex O'Neill spent over two decades as director of a UK group-travel & events company — running events across England, Holland and Dubai, and welcoming groups from Australia, the USA, Colombia, South Africa, Canada and Kenya. The software an events business actually needs never existed off the shelf, so he built it: bookings, quoting, payments, operations.

Turnover grew, overheads fell, and those systems now handle multiple millions a year across several businesses. Pivot is where he builds the same class of systems for other event businesses — and for the agencies that serve them.

Working together

Two ways in.

Every engagement starts with a conversation, not a checkout — and with someone who has stood where you stand on an event morning.

01

For event businesses

Operators and organisers: the systems behind your events business — bookings, quoting, payments, ops — designed and built by someone who ran one for twenty years.

02

Alongside your agency

Event management and event branding agencies: your clients keep asking for software. Bring in a partner who speaks your language and your client’s — and builds it.
